Overview Introduction Mywarf Tablet is an oral anticoagulant which helps prevent the formation of harmful blood clots in the legs, lungs, brain and heart. It is used for deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism and stroke prevention. Mywarf Tablet should be taken as advised by the doctor. You may take it with or without food but it is better to take it at a fixed time. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly without consulting the doctor. You should take this medicine regularly to get the most benefit, even if you feel fine. It is preventing future harm. Use of this medicine may increase your risk of bleeding. Let your doctor know immediately if you see pinpoint rash or blood in your vomits, urine, or stool. If you are going under any surgery or dental treatment then you may need to stop this medicine for some time but only after consulting with your doctor. Before taking it, you must inform doctor if you are suffering from any kidney or liver disease. Also let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding and about all the other medications that you are taking regularly. Uses of Mywarf Tablet Deep vein thrombosis Pulmonary embolism Prevention of Stroke Side effects of Mywarf Tablet Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them Common side effects of Mywarf Bleeding How to cope with side effects? The occurrence of side effects varies from person to person. The following are a few ways of dealing with some of the common side effects. However, consult your doctor if these persist. Coping with Bleeding Hold a gauze over the area that is bleeding and apply pressure. Holding an ice pack to bruises may make them fade more quickly. Seek emergency help if you are bleeding profusely or if the bleeding doesn’t stop within 15 minutes. If you are bleeding more easily than normal, try to be careful when doing activities that might cause an injury or a cut, as it may take longer to stop bleeding. Use a soft toothbrush and waxed dental floss to clean your teeth. See a doctor if you're worried about any bleeding. How to use Mywarf Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Mywarf Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Mywarf Tablet with Vitamin K rich food such as spinach, collards, broccoli, spring onions, cucumber and dried basil. How Mywarf Tablet works Mywarf Tablet is an anticoagulant. It works by preventing the formation of harmful blood clots. Although it does not dissolve the existing blood clots, it prevents them from growing larger and causing blockages in the blood vessels. Safety Advice Alcohol UNSAFE It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Mywarf Tablet. Pregnancy UNSAFE Mywarf Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy. Seek your doctor's advice as studies on pregnant women and animals have shown significant harmful effects to the developing baby. Breastfeeding SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Mywarf Tablet is safe to use during breastfeeding. Human studies suggest that the drug does not pass into the breastmilk in a significant amount and is not harmful to the baby. Driving SAFE Mywarf Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive. Kidney SAFE IF PRESCRIBED Mywarf Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Mywarf Tablet is recommended. However, talk to your doctor if you have any underlying kidney disease. Regular blood tests are recommended when you are taking this medicine. Liver CAUTION Mywarf Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Mywarf Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. What if you forget to take Mywarf Tablet? If you miss a dose of Mywarf Tablet, skip it and continue with your normal schedule. Do not double the dose.
